The United States has the highest maternal and infant mortality outcomes in the developed world, with Black and indigenous families facing the most disproportionate mortality statistics. According to the CDC, over 50% of these deaths occur postpartum and 84% of these deaths are preventable overall. My Standard of Care includes wraparound care from the moment of hiring to support all of my families, but especially BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and families birthing out of the hospital system to improve their outcomes with midwifery care. Sliding scale payment options are always available and all families receive my standard birth services--including 4 prenatal appointments, a postpartum visit, and complimentary placenta encapsulation--regardless of financial means.
